HOTGUARD is the collective name for HOTGROUP's range of products for personnel use. Users include; guards, anti-poaching personnel, law enforcement personnel, scouts, hikers, hunters, outdoor sportsmen, farmers, VIP's, tourists, disabled persons, field workers, surveyors, construction workers, researchers and security conscious people. The HOTGUARD product range is designed for risk management and can be categorised as follows: - Monitoring products
- Tracking products
- Fencing products
And combinations thereof: - Monitoring & tracking products.
- Fencing, monitoring & tracking products.
Here are some basic explanations for each product category: Monitoring products: The electrical measuring, transmitting, and recording of qualities, properties, and actions of organisms and substances, usually by means of radio transmissions from a remote site. Biotelemetry in our developments also include behavioural, physiological, physical and environmental data with reverse manipulation. Tracking products: Triangulation and trilateration positioning devices for establishing position and virtual fencing applications Fencing products: GPS based techniques used to monitor a person's position in relation to a predefined area. The HOTGUARD product range has two basic designs with a range of belts, clips, battery types and capacities: - Size options: Slimline (280g) and Longlife (380g).
- Belt options: adjustable waist belt and elastic arm/leg belt.
- Clip option: belt clip.
- Battery type options: rechargeable and non-rechargeable types.
- Battery capacity range: 1.2Ah to 3.6Ah.
The technology inside the HOTGUARD units can be categorised as follows: - GSM bi-directional communication
- VHF bi-directional communication
- Dual GSM and VHF bidirectional communication
- VHF one way transmission
- Syndromic surveillance
- Behaviour surveillance
- Exposure surveillance
- Positioning
- Fence detection
- Battery management
- Stability control
- Protection
- Diagnostic
- Repair & override
Here are some basic explanations for each technology catagory: GSM bi-direcitonal communication: A quad band digital radio modem with high gain antenna. This modem sends and receives digital data via the GSM networks. VHF bi-directional communication: A single programmable digital radio modem with high gain antenna. This modem sends and receives digital data via the HOTNET VHF network. Dual GSM and VHF bidirectional communication: Modem duality combining both modem technologies into the same device enabling both GSM and HOTNET network abilities. VHF one way transmission: A single programmable digital radio modem with high gain antenna. This modem only sends signals and data without the ability to receive. Syndromic surveilance: The monitoring of ditally monitored syndroms associated with disease identification. Behaviour surveilance : The continuous monitoring of associated movement for the identification of known behaviour types. Exposure surveilance: Climatic change and exposure monitoring. Positioning: Triangulation and trilateration transmitters and receives for the purpose of extablishing geographic location. Fence detection: Electro magnetic sensors and/or GPS for predefined virtual fence lines. Battery management: Charge management, overloading, overheating and leackage prevention for rechargeable cells. Stability control: Frequency stabilisation control to accomodate antenna and temperature dynamics. Power stability control to acomodate battery dynamics. Protection: Temperature, fire, vibration, pressure, shock and moisture protection of electronic components and batteries. Diagnostic: Hardware, software, battery, signal and sensor diagnostic monitoring, logging and reporting. Repair & overide: Fail safe software and hardware fault/failure repair and/or overide. Over the air software reprogramming and setup reconfiguration.
